We decided to do usability studies with 5 different users and some of the things that we learned through our usability studies are the followings :
Buttons - Users expressed significant usability concerns during their interaction with the website. Firstly, they found the interface overwhelming due to the excessive number of buttons, each corresponding to a property listing. This inundation of buttons was particularly problematic for individuals with visibility issues, as the button sizes were inadequately small, making navigation and interaction challenging.
Search Experience - users highlighted the need for a more robust search experience. They suggested that the search section lacked sufficient filters to effectively narrow down their property searches. This limitation hindered their ability to find properties that matched their specific criteria, impacting the overall user experience negatively.
Spacing - users observed an issue with the website's spacing and layout. They felt that there was a lack of adequate spacing between sections, which affected the readability and overall aesthetic appeal of the site. This not only contributed to a cluttered appearance but also made the content harder to digest.
These user insights underscore the pressing need for interface simplification, improved accessibility, and enhanced search functionality, as well as the importance of optimizing the layout for a more visually pleasing and user-friendly experience.
Note - These are only some of the insights and not all we learned through our study.

Just like the lo-fi usability studies, we decided to test the hi-fi with 5 users of our target audience and here are some key things we learned.
Congestion - Users expressed concerns regarding the website's visual clutter and the excessive amount of textual content, which they found overwhelming. They felt that the site's layout was somewhat congested, making it difficult to navigate and locate crucial information about the properties they were interested in.
Property Details - Users found it challenging to access key property details. They noted that essential information was not readily accessible and often required unnecessary scrolling or clicking, leading to a less-than-ideal user experience.
Mortgage Calculators - feedback revealed that users desired more comprehensive mortgage calculators. They suggested that the existing calculators lacked the depth needed to provide a thorough financial assessment, leaving them wanting more detailed tools to better evaluate their mortgage options.
These user observations underscore the critical need to declutter the website's layout, streamline access to essential property information, and enhance the functionality of mortgage calculators to meet user expectations for a more user-friendly and informative real estate platform.

We chose to begin our design process with the desktop version of our real estate website because it provided a broader canvas to establish a comprehensive user interface, complex layouts, and a rich set of features and functionalities. This approach allowed us to prioritize content and user interactions, ensuring a solid foundation for the entire platform. Once the desktop design was well-established, it served as a reference point for crafting responsive designs for mobile and tablet screens.
